Took the family for a week to theme parks but didn't want to stay in any of the resorts. Reunion is just great for getting away from the frenetic atmosphere of the parks. If off route 4 and so is easy to get to and is only about 20 mins or so from Disney etc. What we liked was to have a full on fun day but then come back for a real rest in our own place. We stayed in a 3 bed house in Oconee Street that had a 7 seater car with it. There are 3 golf courses on the resort and this house was near enough to walk to the Grande hotel for a drink or meal. You can even order room service to the house but the house had a massive stove and fridge and BBQ so it was like a luxurious home from home. We'd get back from the parks, have a swim in our own pool and generally relax with home made margaritas which was lovely. There is a big Publix nearby to stock up on food and drink and some restaurants in Champions Gate. The water park on the resort is free with great pool side service and it was really quiet. As well as going to Universal, Busch Gardens, Disney, Wet n Wild etc we had a brilliant experience on an air boat at Boggy Creek and saw alligators in the wild which was awesome. Briliant stay really recommended for anyone.

We have stayed at Reunion many times because of the good experiences we have had. The Deluxe Disney resorts are great, but when we don't want to spend the money that Disney charges, we go to Reunion. The prices are a bargain and it's only a short drive away from the parks. It's a quiet place, which is great after a long day at Disney. The water park is great entertainment for the kids. We have stayed at other places in the area, but have always been disappointed. At Reunion, we know what to expect and we get a quality Orlando vacation every time.
