The Estate Homes

5

We have been visiting the Orlando area from the UK since 1992, sometimes up to 3 times a year, and have rented some truly fabulous private homes. We've also stayed at many of the area's top hotels. Since our stay at Reunion last month, I can't imagine wanting to stay anywhere else in the Orlando area for a long time to come.

Since visiting Reunion during its early stages of development, we have wanted to stay there and eventually found a private rental which ticked all the boxes - two palatial master suites; a proper games room (i.e. not a converted garage); enormous plasma TV in the main lounge, flat screen TVs in all the bedrooms and the games room; internet access; top of the range fittings and furnishings; outdoor kitchen; pool and spa overlooking the Tom Watson Independence golf course - 5500 sq ft of pure decadence!

We just returned from a 7 day stay at the Reunion Resort. This is our second time at the resort, so we decided to splurge a little and rent a four bedroom home with a private backyard pool and a lovely view of the golf course. As usual the staff were polite and we were cheerfully greeted. The home also exceeded our expectations. My family was very pleased with the home. Overall, our stay was relaxing and chaos free. We chose a home without a screened in pool. This allowed full access to the sun rays which we enjoy. However, the lack of a screen also allowed access to the various native creatures, both mid-size (e.g., an armadillo) and small (e.g., frogs and lizards). The presence of these native creature created a lot of fun excitement for our children. We also had little bugs and leaves in the pool. That was understandable and the staff were very responsive each time we called to have them come and clean the pool. Also, our home had free WiFi service. The water park was also fun. However the pool hours are short and there were limited activities for older children. Overall, our experience was great. I would stay there again even though it can be pricey. But we do not mind splurging a little, for a great experience.

We just got back from a 4 day stay at the Reunion Resort. We decided to splurge a little and rent a four bedroom home with a private backyard pool and a lovely view of the golf course. Overall, our stay was fabulous because it was problem free. We were cheerfully greeted at check-in. More importantly, the home exceeded our expectations. I was fearful that the pictures were too good to be true and the property would be tired and worn. That was not the case. The home was immaculate. It was very clean and housekeeping came daily. Our backyard pool was not screened, because of the golf course view, so we had little bugs and leaves in the pool. That's understandable, so I called to have it cleaned and they were very responsive each time. No complaints on service. Also, our home had free WiFi service. The grounds all over the resort are very well kept. The water park was also fun, ... however the pool hours are short. The shuttle is very convenient and will pick you up and take anywhere on the resort property. The resort is very convenient to the Disney Parks. By the way- you can see the Magic Kingdom fireworks show every night from the 11th floor outdoor pool/bar/restaurant. There is also a Publix grocery store and a few fast food joints just outside the resort boundary. So, if you have a rental car, you don't have to go very far. Overall, our experience was great. I would stay there again. It can be pricey, but for a short stay and especially one you don't mind splurging a little, it's a great experience.
